Eucalyptus ficifolia: Eucalyptus from the Greek, meaning “well-covered,” referring to the fused lid over the flower before it opens (called an operculum); ficifolia meaning 'with leaves like a fig.'
In the year 1982 we had our marvellous US-Trip from Chicago to California and back. Arriving in California we saw those stunishing trees: I got really high about them (Sorry, my english is not perfect, but I hope, you understand, what I meen. - I have been looking for years and years to find out the name of those trees...and I am so very happy, I found your Website!
