Abies pinsapo - Spanish Fir

Abies pinsapo

Slow growing pyramidal evergreen fir.
Stiff-looking but soft dark green needles are singly held. Individual needles have a rounded tip, and twigs show a shallow depression where needles have fallen off.
Pollen cones. Also note the two silver stripes on the underside of the needles. Female cones are held upright.
