Pittosporum crassifolium - Karo

Pittosporum crassifolium: Pittosporum, from Greek meaning “pitch seed,” because seeds have a resinous sticky coating; crassifolium, meaning "thick leaved."

Most commonly seen as a shrub or small container plant, though it can be pruned to a single trunk.
Oblanceolate to spatulate leaves are 2-4" long, grey tomentose on the underside, giving the plant a gray cast from a distance.
Small maroon bell-shaped flowers are scentless.
Fruit is a 3-valved capsule .75"-1.25" long. Seeds are black and sticky.
